Food and Environment Sensitivity Test

;

About the Tests

At Hair Test for Health, we test over 200 different substances helping to evaluate which foods may be causing an imbalance. We use Electro-Acupuncture according to Voll (EAV) hair testing, which is a unique and simple way of investigating which foods, additives and environmental irritants may be affecting your health or causing inflammation. It also screens for intestinal parasites, gut flora imbalance and liver/adrenal stress.

It was pioneered in the 1940’s by a German doctor called Reinhart Voll and measures fluctuations in electromagnetic energy when your hair sample is exposed to various test substances. A reading of sensitivity is given as a score of 1 – 10. This non invasive method can be used for the whole family, from babies to grand-parents.

Conditions a food and environmental sensitivity test can help with are:

Skin problems

Sensitivity to foods such as dairy, sugar, wheat/gluten or egg among others, can exacerbate skin problems and especially conditions such as eczema, dermatitis or acne

Sinus congestion

Identifying which foods and environmental irritants are contributing to sinus congestion can help to reduce inflammation and improve symptoms.

Fungal infections

Food and environmental hair testing can also test for yeast overgrowth and pinpoint which foods may be contributing to this imbalance.

Digestive discomfort

Dyspepsia, reflux, bloating and pain can often be associated with food sensitivity; identifying these and reducing intake in the diet may help with alleviating these conditions and reducing symptoms.

Low immunity

Recurring infections may at times be linked to sensitivity of certain foods which may be contributing to inflammation and putting added stress on immune pathways.

Headache/migraine

Foods high in histamines, caffeine or sugar may contribute to or trigger headaches/migraine in sensitive people. Additives and preservatives may also play a role in these conditions.

Inflammation

Foods such as the nightshade family (potato, tomato, capsicum, chili) and grains containing gluten can often be associated with inflammation, particularly of the joints as can foods high in purines which contribute to uric acid levels.

Chronic fatigue

This condition is often associated with increased inflammation, viral infection or long term stress and lowered adrenal function. Identifying which foods may be a contributing factor may help to greatly reduce symptoms.

Joint pain

Accumulation of acids in the tissues and increased inflammation may be associated with a number of foods; these may contribute to erosion of cartilage and pain.

Hair sensitivity testing can be used on dyed hair as this does not test for chemicals
